At first, we thought we would establish a 501C3 charitable nonprofit organization to dole out as much money as we could spin off from the company. That is still a goal, but we now understand that there is a more pragmatic approach to our charitable giving strategy during our companies infancy.
Phase one focus on building a great sustainable company and give what we can to a select number of organizations that are already serving the spinal cord injury and disease community. These are:
During this time, we realized our focus needs to be on building YoProducts and we should not divert our attention to managing our own charitable giving organization. Also, when we looked at the business plan we realized a growing company will need to retain more earnings to support inventory growth Salesforce growth and operating expenses.
In phase two, we will likely add to our list of charitable organizations that we can support while we begin the work to establishing our own 5013 C charitable organization. When that happens we will move into phase three and hope to have significant profits to establish a YoProducts sister-foundation.
Throughout these phases we will continue to be transparent, honest, and open minded in welcoming any and all offers of help to expedite our growth and maximize the amount we can help people with spinal cord injuries and diseases.
